Founded in 2015 by car aficionado John Temerian and business impresario Jordi Ricart, CURATED specializes in Vintage Blue Chip European Automobiles — specifically low production cars built between the 1970s and the early 2000s. Passionately believing the automobile is a viable and consistent alternative investment asset class, and betting on this specific era of iconic supercars, we continue to pave the way for the next generation of collectors.

With a keen focus on the highest quality Lamborghini and Ferrari examples coupled with an unwavering dedication to the highest standards of excellence and sincerity, our founders quickly began making their mark within this emerging sector of collectibles. Soon, Temerian and Ricart found a like-minded mentor in entrepreneur Alan Lazowski: business mogul, philanthropist and founder of LAZ Parking. Known for his people-first leadership style, unconditional kindness, and his steadfast tenacity, Lazowski joined as partner in late 2015. Four years later, another perfectly congruent partner was found in Jim Goetz, one of the most significant global tech investors, and the former CEO of Sequoia Capital. Goetz, oft revered for his integrity, transparency and dedication to helping others, brings yet another unique perspective to the mix, again guided by this shared North Star.

Today, CURATED is known as an international brand for discovering one-off 1980 and 1990s icons. The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina marked the final open-top, front-engined V12 Ferrari offered exclusively with a gated manual transmission. Built to celebrate Pininfarina’s 70th anniversary, production was limited to just 448 examples worldwide, each individually numbered and fitted with a dashboard plaque signed by Sergio Pininfarina himself. Combining the long-wheelbase grand touring character of the 550 Maranello with open-air configuration and highly limited production, the Barchetta occupies a unique position among modern Ferrari V12s.Chassis ZFFZR52A810124391 was completed at the Maranello factory on November 19, 2001, finished in Rosso Corsa over black leather with the model’s standard carbon-backed racing seats. Designated build No. 413 of 448, the car was specified as a U.S.-market example under vehicle type F 133 ADM and equipped with engine No. 64224 of the Tipo F133 A V12. Delivered through Ferrari North America for the 2001 model year, the car was first registered in Spring, Texas in January 2002 at just 70 miles.The original owner would retain the Barchetta for approximately twelve years, during which time the car accumulated fewer than 4,800 miles. In early 2014, the car transitioned to New Jersey ownership before relocating permanently to Florida later that same year. A subsequent Palm Beach Gardens caretaker would retain the car for nearly six years, preserving the car’s low mileage and originality throughout its Florida residency.In July 2020, at 5,116 miles, Ferrari Maserati of West Palm Beach performed a comprehensive recommissioning service addressing the fuel system in its entirety, including replacement of the fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, fuel lines, and battery. CARFAX documentation throughout the car’s history remains clean, with no reported accidents or damage.Today, the car presents with 5,467 miles indicated at the time of cataloging, though photographs may reflect slightly lower mileage captured prior to listing preparation. Factory paint markings remain visible throughout the chassis and underbody, a preservation characteristic increasingly uncommon on Ferrari models of this era and strong evidence of retained originality throughout the body structure. The original numbered dashboard plaque signed by Sergio Pininfarina remains fitted, while the car retains its correct Bridgestone tires, complete six-piece factory luggage set, books, tools, factory soft top, and accompanying documentation.The car’s preservation and originality have also been recognized on the concours field. In 2022, it earned Best in Class honors at the Audrain Newport Concours within the Youngtimer division. Most recently, the car was awarded Platino at the 2026 Cavallino Classic Palm Beach, a distinction reserved for examples scoring 97 points or higher under IAC/PFA judging standards.Completed near the end of Barchetta production and finished in the quintessential Ferrari specification of Rosso Corsa over black, chassis 24391 represents an exceptionally well-preserved and highly complete example of one of Ferrari’s most charismatic modern V12s. With limited ownership, low mileage, visible factory markings, concours recognition, and comprehensive accompanying documentation, it stands today as a reference-grade 550 Barchetta Pininfarina.
